Infectious Diseases Specialist Dr. Torrance Oravec will present an evidence‑based update on antimicrobial stewardship, focusing on practical approaches to diagnosing and managing common infections
Learning Outcome:
Upon completion of this learning session, participants will achieve the following CanMEDS-FM learning outcome:
- Medical Expert: Apply evidence‑based antimicrobial stewardship principles to diagnose and manage common and complex infections—selecting appropriate oral versus IV therapy and navigating special considerations such as prior C. difficile infection and HIV care.
